A brief history

In 2004, as digital HD footage capture became more accessible, I founded SkyTimelapse.com, leveraging my early education in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). At a time when modern content management systems (CMSs) were still underdeveloped, I adopted an iterative and bespoke approach to enhance the shopping experience and user interface. This approach allowed me to refine the platform continuously, ensuring it met user needs effectively.

In 2005, I licensed my first product to a media client, entering a competitive B2B licensing market. By emphasizing the unique value proposition of my digital products and leveraging earned media for strong search rankings, I exceeded my self-defined OKRs for two consecutive years (2005โ€“2006), achieving significant sales growth.

As the stock footage industry consolidated in the late 2000s, I focused on refining SkyTimelapse.comโ€™s user experience and design. This iterative process, which continued until 2017, was driven by data-informed decisions. By analyzing visitor behavior, I optimized user journeys, aligning with evolving UX best practices. This strategy not only enhanced customer engagement but also supported sustained sales performance.
