A three second interval is used for short timespan clips such as these. If not for the steep slopes of the valley cliffs, cloaked partly in dense winter fog, this scene could be reminiscent of many northern climates. The cerulean late afternoon sky is unobscured along much of the top third of the frame, but the clouds are moving everywhere.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
11 seconds and 3 frames.
… under some very light transforming clouds and shade. North of Yosemite Valley is the highway to connect to the other side of the state. This Tioga Pass Road is closed much of the year due to snowfall. The snowy landscape vista stretches out to Mt Lyell of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, which passes through the National Park.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
14 seconds and 2 frames.
Mt Whitney is seen among its neighboring peaks in the Sierra Nevada range of mountains at night. With the long shutter speed of three seconds and an interval of five seconds and clouds quickly float overhead. The stratus clouds floating high enough fly over, the lower ones are caught and piled up on a few of the peaks. A landscape of hills made of smooth and rocks of varying sizes, from massive to minute, climbs to the left of the frame.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
6 seconds and 80 frames.
…under clouds and shadows. Over the continental divide in Colorado, mountains deep in natural snow are unmarred by signs of society, and range from big gradual slopes to the sharpest, rocky peaks near center-frame. The upper slopes, a quarter of the frame, is snowy, and are shaded by the clouds overhead which are moving towards-camera but without momentum.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
13 seconds and 18 frames.
As the UAS rises over the partly snowy, rocky forest mountain, Lake Tahoe comes into view, and a far-off mountainous rim around the cerulean blue lake, which clouds leave shifting shadows on from their layer.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
10 seconds and 22 frames.
Capturing a moment of time at dawn in the winter among the positively red hoodoos of sandstone and dolomite, which owes their odd shapes to the erosive patterns from these rocks. Snow blankets this unusual and wild landscape, as it stretches and flattens out into the distance where a ridge separates land and sky. The sun, out of frame, rises, and with it the snow brightens, and shadows recede.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 17 frames.
…rocky, snowy winter peaks. Symmetrical slopes dominate the frame, with rocks and small boulders among evergreens that lead up to near the very tips of these mountain tops. With light, low rolling clouds pouring over and piling on these steep slopes, jagged, snowy peaks poke out like jigsaw teeth.
