  • Different cloud levels and densities in a blue sky on the wind transforming on time

    View with alternate video source

    Scene notes:

An exemplar clip of Cumulus clouds (the lowest), Altocumulus clouds (the middle height level), and Cirrus of various kinds, such as Cirrocumulus. An example of how clouds also can move in different directions, the cerulean blue sky has high air quality as the smaller clouds meander around.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    15 seconds.

  • 2 of 2 | Vivid light rays on fog through a cypress tree on a hill

    View with alternate video source

    Scene notes:

A steady amount of fog pours through, while just above. Without a layer of cloud above, the full brightness of the sun is coming through the canopy at top-right, spreading out as sunbeams on the ferns, mossy rocks, and vegetation of the hill, which climbs 45 degrees and fills a third of the frame. A three second interval is used.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    18 seconds and 14 frames.

  • Fog falling slowly in a forest exposing the greens of conifers on the hillside trail

    View with alternate video source

    Scene notes:

Fog catches the sun and the shadows of the tall trees cast shadows on the glow. The hillside is steep and falls away from the left frame, covered in ferns and vegetation, which slowly move on the breeze. The fog slowly falls away, taking the sunbeams with it.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    32 seconds and 2 frames.

  • Sierra Nevada Mountain range and late-day clouds side-lit and flowing off

    View with alternate video source

    Scene notes:

Approximately half the frame is shadowed in a mountain’s shade, with desert plants in the foreground meadow. The clouds flow off the ridge, and every air current can be seen on the outer edges of these clouds, which run aground on the top-left of the frame, billowing, and crawling.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    11 seconds and 22 frames.
