    Scene notes:

Under very light clouds, creeping up its slopes during fair-weather. Its peak becoming more obscured deep in the clouds, Mt Rainier is the subject of the frame, along with a Cumulus cloud that persistently grows. The shade from this cloud casts shadows on the many steep slopes below.

… and their small lights ascending before dawn. Multi-categorized clip. The moon sets behind Mt Rainier. Looking closely afterward, a distant, single climbing party’s headlights are shown ascending the rugged and impressive slope overnight. Morning comes, a blue hour, and far, far behind some conifers, the snow of the mountain becomes pink momentarily against the rapidly changing sky, until the sky is light blue, and it is day again.

  • Mount Rainier with light clouds on its southern face

    Scene notes:

A majestic mountain, Mt Rainier has a batch of Cumulus clouds on two flanks this sunny morning. Shadows from them moving over the snow. These are their normal altitudes. The dormant volcano rears up above the alpine, snowy meadow of the foreground. The clouds find the mountain insurmountable, and minuscule cars are seen in the middle of the frame, adding slightly to the interest. A three second interval is used.
    Time-lapse length (30 fps):
    38 seconds and 4 frames.
