… on the wind in Yellowstone by a river with high contrast. A one second interval is used to capture the venting of these geysers in winter. With the colder temperature, more steam is visible, moving very quickly, in similar ways to a towering cloud on a small scale. A river runs through the lower portion of the frame.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
15 seconds and 22 frames.
Close-up (macro) shot of flowers that resemble white anemones tracking the position of the sunlight through the forest canopy. Shadows move with the wind- that also pushes the delicate plants.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
16 seconds.
A one second interval is used to capture a geyser venting steam vapor in the cold morning dawn. In a far meadow, other smaller geysers look like a thin fog bank. Resembling a small pine tree, a lone tree in the foreground stands two-thirds of the frame’s height. A small river runs from center to the bottom-right of the frame.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
7 seconds and 1 frame.
Oregon Geraniums on a mossy boulder in the forest are captured in time. Wind blows the shadows slightly, and the sun is dimmed intermittently by clouds.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 21 frames.
Last of a series of clips in this scene, the sunlight leaves the view under the horizon, with small sunbeams defined by clouds on the horizon. Gold and glowing, mid-level clouds are brilliantly lit, and under them, the lower-level rain clouds are scattering over the headlands. The ocean is the lower quarter of the frame, and waves are observed on the beach. They’re ignited in reflected light under the ambient light of the sky. The sand of the beach is a space in the corner.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
3 seconds and 11 frames.
