Project synopsis: skytimelapse-com
It is worth noting that Aardman Animations, renowned for its iconic characters such as Wallace and Gromit, stands out among the users in the 2000s. This esteemed studio is not only celebrated for its beloved claymation series but also for its production of engaging commercials. This experience affirmed that I had developed a robust, data-driven methodology for my design theories. It taught me the importance of rigorously testing foundational assumptions and analyzing how they evolved over time. Aardman Animation stands out as an exemplar among my past clients, one of many.
Even though another stock footage company (the largest stock footage/photo company- and the original) took the fore of licensing my footage to high profile clients, their payouts softened until I terminated that agreement in 2017.
As the stock footage industry underwent significant consolidation that began in the late 2000s, I continuously refined the user experience and design of SkyTimelapse.com. This iterative approach, which I maintained until 2017, was grounded in principles of data-driven design—analyzing visitor behavior to inform decisions and optimize user journeys. This methodology mirrored the evolving best practices of UX design, where real-time insights and adaptability drive meaningful engagement and results. With a new purpose, it continues online, for the current moment in time.
