Mid-day, a vast fog bank smothers the winter day of the Willamette Valley while looking east from Spencer Butte. In the distance: the snow-covered Three Sisters, of the Cascade Range in Oregon.

Over sand dunes with shrublands on the right. The shadows of the nearby fog, passing on the ocean breeze, float by quickly as it unexpectedly comes in on return. The dunes don’t show a low amount of human impact- but a definite impact, nonetheless. The sky consists of the top seventh of the frame and is a mix of stratus layers under blue sky. The frame pans downward digitally from the sky.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
7 seconds and 15 frames.
The brick-red Golden Gate Bridge spans the frame, never-ceasing traffic flow pouring through. Under, beyond, and before, ships of all sail, motor, and port into the bay. Observe baby-sized waves on the headlands below, made apparent by the time-lapse.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
26 seconds and 18 frames.
… level with low wind, transformation. Once an active volcano, this profile captures its dome shape that is prominent from this green meadow. These gentle slopes seem the only way to traverse the top without technical gear. This morning sky has no clouds. A three second interval is used. The meadow is around one quarter of the frame, and a tree line has a variety of broadleaf and evergreens, while the mountain itself looks solid green from trees. A stable blanket of ground-fog moves left-right, slowly meandering, with a few fragments closer and higher in the frame.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
16 seconds and 1 frame.
An original, recently remastered time-lapse of the sky with clouds.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
6 seconds and 26 frames.
… a blanket, frayed, fog climbs another wooded hill in late morning. Western Hemlock (left) and stones oversee and a symmetrical hill just above a cloud layer in the Cascade foothills in Oregon, during the late-morning. Another ridge of hills further, in center of the frame.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
8 seconds and 19 frames.
A bright marine fog layer slowly evaporates around the Golden Gate Bridge, a small ship is seen exiting as the fog recedes. The Marin Headlights are exposed to day in the middle ground between this point of view and the bay.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
9 seconds and 16 frames.
A fog manages to cling to visibility moving into the bay, especially on the left of the frame, and shadows rise from the headlands on the hills. A cargo ship is seen mid-way through the clip exiting the bay. The city is fully visible in the distant left.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
13 seconds and 1 frame.
