Precipitation that evaporates in the dryer air that it falls into is called Virga. These low-level fluffy and convective, as well as stratus clouds, are shown with camera facing northeast, away from the direction the sunset. Pleasant meadows and hills underline the pink and transforming clouds, with the Virga appearing more stationary.

Panning downward slowly, a slow moving rain cloud complex over a plan during dusk. Rain can be observed in the distance at the very bottom of the frame, as well as a distant tree line. The clouds range from strongly tinged pink to Halloween orange as the sunset progresses.

Exemplars of aiguille-shaped peaks that travel over a kilometer down, glaciers included. The clouds create crepuscular (afternoon) rays from humidity and shadows. The light shines on some of the slopes. The mountains comprise nine-tenths of the frame.

Clouds drop precipitation as snow in this valley that is the classic Yosemite experience. This clip is the continuation of a clip from Day. Trees, appearing at first glance to be following the clouds up the snowy slopes, cover much of the left frame. A giant monolith, partially covered in mist, appears in the left third, indescribable. A sheer rock face on the right is acting as a blocker for clouds. Farther away, another sheer cliff face is appearing to hold back the cloud flow, all this on a winter landscape.

On complex red sandstone formations, shadows shift intermittently and then for the end duration as the sun sets. Facing east, with mid-level Castellanus clouds appearing to move away as the camera physically pans to the right, where shrublands lay before the stones.

The landscape is two-thirds of the frame, a forest of hills and ridges which extend into a vast plain. The humid air allows the radiant intensity to glow on these lands, the vapor both absorbs and emits some of the light in all directions. The sun moves lower into the dusk behind the horizon, leaving Cirrus clouds illuminated red and pink from below, and then, night falls.

The sunset from Pike Creek Vista, Grand Canyon. The northwestward view shows the canyon stretching vast distances under the sky, which comprises the top quarter of the frame.
