Intervalometry notes: A growing towering cumulus before a wider stratus cloud that is far greater in volume. Stratus clouds like these may have formed initially from ground heating. Such smaller rain clouds may spread out turn into a layer (a stratus) instead of being pushed along with a surviving core to regenerate. In these local pockets of rising air, the humidity around the cloud condenses into visibility.
