Suspended light, rays of sunshine

Oregon’s forests, while not getting quite enough rain to be rainforests per se, can be extremely lush and beautiful. Surrounding the settled valleys of the west half of the state, covering the hills, the floors are covered in composting wood and rich soil, mosses, fungi, ferns, and other ground-covering plants. When a photo/time-lapser comes along and climbs a hill in the winter to the edge of the fog where the sun can get through, he or she may find surprises, or exactly what they came for…

There are two other Forest videos with light rays through the fog in the Day category, so check those out as well.
